ORIGINAL PROJECT PITCH:

We are seeking funding to record one song.
You may ask what can one song do?
A movement begins with one song think about it: One Love, We are the world, The times they are a changin.

One song has the power to bring new light to issues that impact the world.

We are inviting you to take part in a movement in its nascent stages that combines live music and social justice. Its called Lights Ignite Change. We ask you to help us create the musical anthem. The song, A New Light", will help spread the word about this movement.

WHO WE ARE
We are three female singers/songwriters (Naomi Less, Chana Rothman & Sarah Aroeste)- with deep Jewish roots working to ignite activism in both our community and ourselves, to roll up sleeves and start making real change happen.

WHAT IS LIGHTS IGNITE CHANGE
In its simplest form, Lights Ignite Change is a traveling concert and a total paradigm shift in what music can accomplish. We work with communities around the country & world, to produce concerts that serve a higher purpose:

- Connecting People: Igniting peoples interest in service for change by connecting them with already engaged activists
- Music Community: building inspired community through meaningful, quality live music
- Organizations: Granting exposure to grassroots community initiatives working towards social justice
- Female Musicians: Providing a platform for female musicians (gender-balancing the music community)

The concert is an independently produced call to action a true partnership between local community organizations and the musicians.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Picture this: a concert buzzing with enthusiasm and inspiration, full of organizations, musical artists, and audience members activated to make this world safer, more just and equitable for all in their backyards and around the world.

We invite you to take this first step with us: support our project called "Lights Ignite Change by contributing to its musical anthem: A New Light.

Your contribution will cover recording and production costs. The total budget is $1500.
