ABADDON is not unique. It has familiar themes that will appeal to a niche audience. The object of this film is to make it salable and appeal to those viewers that like the uncompromising antihero made famous by movies like DEATH WISH. The gothic overtones of the film draw it's own type of viewer.
This film is not a social statement, nor is it a melodrama. It is sheer popcorn, comic book style fun.
