9,000 Needles tells the story of a young husband/father and his family as they struggle to deal with the aftermath of a devastating stroke.

Having reached the limits of his medical coverage, he is sent home and entrusted to the care of his family, and community, whom soon realize that the rehabilitation he needs is far beyond what they can provide.

We see this family and their Kentucky community as they learn about a hospital in Tianjin, China, integrating Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine to successfully treat stroke victims. Opening their hearts, and their minds, the community joins together to raise money and support for this ray of hope shining down 6,953 miles away.

We follow him on his journey to Tianjin, where his courage, faith and desire to overcome are tested on a daily basis. The trials he and his family endure along the way remind us that the human spirit can transcend any and all boundaries forming a universal community of healing and transformation.
