The Tale...

But despite that, I'm not blinded by love: I can tell she's a Damn Fine Writer.

She has one book under her belt, a 'cozy' mystery set in a small North Western town called Packard Falls, with a cat, a dog, and a host of eccentric characters. I like to compare it to a Janet Evanovich novel combined with Northern Exposure.

And I want her to write her next one.

Now.

Not Later.

And it's coming. But slowly.

You know how it is: Writer's block. It's all crap. I'm too old to start writing. No one wants to read this.

So I started up this IndieGoGo event. Because the first book is good, and the next one is shaping up to be even better.

And I want her to have her dream: The quiet life of writing a great novel every few months for her fans. Fans who will enjoy the books, and will make her efforts worthwhile.

So this event is "4,500 fans for Gwen". I think 4,500 fans is enough for now (we want more of course, eventually...)

And of those 4,500 select fans, I'd really like YOU to be one of them.

What You Get For Your Moola

The money goes to pay partly for the perks we plan to give back, and partly for the writing paraphernalia she needs to finish: Better computer + screen, research materials, art design and assistance, and anything to do with setting up the book we can't do ourselves.

More importantly, however, the money is a vote for Gwen and her book - because if you're willing to part with money, then I think you count as a REAL fan, which is exactly what we want.
