Did you know that 80% of the population have no idea what being an independent artist means. Being an artist entails many things, and among them, one is to educate others. Being an independent artist is tough and challenging.

The California Music Industry Summit is geared towards the education of both established and emerging artists as well as music industry professionals. CMIS is an opportunity for professional development and education on the newest trends in the todays music industry.

The Impact

Currently independent artists have a tough time marketing, and promoting to reach new audiences. This impact on independent artists music has been profound, its no longer about the power of one individual; instead its about the power of many individuals. Artists are now required to learn new skills to compete for market share in this new and crowded model. CMIS provide support and promote emerging artists, allowing them the opportunity to perform and display their talents. It also offers unsigned artists a chance to gain exposure with producers, managers, and major and independent label companies that are seeking new talent. This summit is where creative people connect and cultivate professional relationships that can last a lifetime.

What We Need

Our goal is to raise $21,000 to pay for production, marketing, and promotion so we can attract a larger audience as well as the space to host this dynamic event. With your help, we can raise enough funds to make it affordable for independent artists, youth, and proffessionals to attend and benefit from this Industry event.

What You Get

We've got a lot of wonderful stuff, including some fun and unique experiences. What we're doing is putting creative people together to connect and cultivate professional relationships that can last a lifetime. So with a contribution, not only will you gain unique experiences, you'll also be invited to attend the showcases, meet professionals in the music industry, be able to attend panel discussions and offer your feedback through a discussion group.
